For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in Him. Therefore, the “ Amen” is also spoken through Him by us for God’s glory. Now it is God who strengthens us, with you, in Christ and has anointed us. He has also sealed us and given us the Spirit as a down payment in our hearts.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (HCSB)

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (HCSB)
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Note from Kip: Sounds a lot like our world today.

Global travel is not a big deal any more. Gone are the days when a child is born in the same community that they will die in. We construct homes that would be an establish residence for generations, only to place them on the market a few short years later

Then there is the ‘increase of knowledge’. We are past the point we referred to as the ‘The Information Age’. Knowledge and information expands and grows by leaps and bounds, redoubling itself continually. We have established a world wide information pathway whereby we can distribute these thoughts and ideas across the globe.

Our perspective is very narrow even so, but it sure seems that today is ‘the time of the end’, as described by the book of Daniel.

2 Thessalonians 2:15 (HCSB)
Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught, either by our message or by our letter.
