For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)
For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
Luke 19:10 (NLT)
Then Jesus began to denounce the towns where he had done so many of his miracles, because they hadn’t repented of their sins and turned to God.
Matthew 11:20 (NLT)
Note from Kip…
From the perspective of the redeemed in Christ, it becomes unfathomable that the lost continue in their way, given the evidence that surrounds us everyday, of God’s Grace and Love.
But even when our Lord walked this earth on His mission to reclaim His creation, the bindings of sin present an ‘almost’ insurmountable obstruction on their road to Salvation.
It is only by the Holy Spirit’s direct intervention that one who is lost can find their way. So pray, brothers and sisters, for those who are lost. Pray and be the obedient servant that Jesus calls you to be. That they may hear the Word acting in you, and the Holy Spirit can engage their hearts, so that they might see the way to the Cross.
The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.
1 Samuel 12:22 (NLT)
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
“Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people.
Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
1 Peter 2:9-10 (NLT)
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)
I sank down to the very roots of the mountains. I was imprisoned in the earth, whose gates lock shut forever. But you, O Lord my God, snatched me from the jaws of death!
Jonah 2:6 (NLT)
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.
Psalms 34:8-9 (NLT)
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (NLT)
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21 (NLT)
Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 (NLT)
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:1-2 (NLT)
