God’s Wisdom and Knowledge…

Note from Kip…
We can never fully comprehend the awesomeness of God. Every time we get a glimpse of His magnificent Glory, we are faced with the realization that ‘this too’ is but a shadow of just how powerful and glorious He is.

It takes but a moments glance at a flower, or majesty of a mountain side; to begin to put our position in perspective. While realizing where we are in the middle of His creation, provides a better look at who we are; it only serves to understand just ‘How impossible’ it is to comprehend, His ways, His thoughts, and just how marvelous He truly is.

Blessings,
Kip…

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!

Romans 11:33 (NLT)

The one who pursues righteousness and faithful love will find life, righteousness, and honor.

Proverbs 21:21 (HCSB)

The heavens, indeed the highest heavens, belong to the Lord your God, as does the earth and everything in it. Yet the Lord was devoted to your fathers and loved them. He chose their descendants after them — He chose you out of all the peoples, as it is today.

Deuteronomy 10:14-15 (HCSB)

Lord, set up a guard for my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. Do not let my heart turn to any evil thing or perform wicked acts with men who commit sin. Do not let me feast on their delicacies.

Psalms 141:3-4 (HCSB)

So too, though the tongue is a small part of the body, it boasts great things. Consider how large a forest a small fire ignites. And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among the parts of our bodies. It pollutes the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is set on fire by hell.

Every sea creature, reptile, bird, or animal is tamed and has been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

James 3:5-8 (HCSB)

So rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander. Like newborn infants, desire the pure spiritual milk, so that you may grow by it for your salvation, since you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Coming to Him, a living stone — rejected by men but chosen and valuable to God — you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:1-5 (HCSB)

Note from Kip…
The following two passages are fairly long. The first is a prayer Jesus offered up to God the Father, prior to His crucifixion.  The second is for His disciples. If you have stepped into that commitment, then they both are for you.

For Believers:

I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in Me through their message.

May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.

I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are  one. I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Father,
I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me because You loved Me before the world’s foundation.

Righteous Father!
The world has not known You. However, I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me. I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them.

 John 17:20-26 (HCSB)

For Disciples:

I have revealed Your name to the men You gave Me from the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

Now they know that all things You have given to Me are from You, because the words that You gave Me, I have given them. They have received them
and have known for certain that I came from You.

They have believed that You sent Me. I pray for them.

I am not praying for the world but for those You have given Me, because they are Yours. Everything I have is Yours, and everything You have is Mine, and I have been glorified in them.

I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You.

Holy Father,
protect them by Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one as We are one.

While I was with them, I was protecting them by Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them and not one of them is lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

Now I am coming to You, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have My joy completed in them. I have given them Your word.

The world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world. I am not praying that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one.

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Sanctify, them by the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.

John 17:6-19 (HCSB)

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time,, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15-16 (HCSB)

The Lord spoke to Moses: “Speak to the entire Israelite community and tell them: Be holy because I, Yahweh your God, am holy.

Leviticus 19:1-2 (HCSB)

For God has not called us to impurity but to sanctification. Therefore, the person who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who also gives you His Holy Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 (HCSB)

God, create a clean heart for me
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not banish me from Your presence
or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore the joy of Your salvation to me,
and give me a willing spirit.

Psalms 51:10-12 (HCSB)
