“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalm 46:10 (NLT)
Note from Kip…
If you haven’t noticed, the folks on The View (Late morning talk Show on ABC) hold the opinion that God doesn’t talk to us. Reasonable people might talk to God but don’t even think for one moment that God is going to respond.
Sad note that this view expressed on The View, appears to be the prevailing view today.
There is more. According to the Huffington Post only 28 percent even believe in God. Miracles are a fantasy, and we direct our own destiny.
God is Here!
It doesn’t take much to confirm God’s existence, His hand in our lives, or to hear Him. Not really, considering that He is the one that created the heavens and earth, the plants and animals, and you and I.
As Joe Biden might say, He’s a really big deal! And, He is.
But the thing is, He is approachable. As a matter of fact He is wanting us to approach, to share with Him our hearts, to be His close companion.
He is here with us right now and presenting an open invitation to transform our lives from confusion, pain, and inexhaustible demands, into bastions of peace, hope and love; able exist in this world without falling prey to the wolves at the gate.
Trust in Jesus, is the prerequisite for this change. Surrender to His will for us. In return, His Grace is poured out on us. Not just a little, but unbounded Grace. Through that Grace our offenses (sins) are forgiven. The scars from those sins are covered and healed. We find peace that extends beyond the reaches of our understanding and hope that can’t be broken.
Then our Lord and Savior asks us to do something very simple; Be Still!
Be still and know that He is God. Be still and watch about you and see his hand in miracle after miracle. Be still and hear His voice teaching you through His word and guiding your footsteps along the path of His righteousness.
God is here. He’s active and engaged. And He does talk to us!
If we are still and recognize Him for who He is and what He does!
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
Romans 5:3-4 (NLT)
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
Proverbs 3:9 (NLT)

1 Chronicles 16:12 (HCSB)
Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2 (HCSB)
Then children were brought to Him so He might put His hands on them and pray. But the disciples rebuked them. Then Jesus said, “Leave the children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to Me, because the kingdom of heaven is made up of people like this.”, After putting His hands on them, He went on from there.
Matthew 19:13-15 (HCSB)
Better an open reprimand than concealed love.
Proverbs 27:5 (HCSB)
