But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen and guard you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (HCSB)
Note from Kip…
Great is Thy faithfulness, oh God my Father.
There is no shadow of changing with Thee!
Immediately upon seeing this verse this morning, this hymn started playing in my mind and my thoughts wander from passage to passage, promise to promise, and each instance that He steps into the path of my trials, showing me His power, His grace and His Faithfulness.
My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father — Jesus Christ the Righteous One. He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.
1 John 2:1-2 (HCSB)
He has been faithful and always will be. Faithful to His promise. Faithful in His Grace. Faithful in His love for us.
He was when considering creating us and all the universe, He would have chosen to simply not act and change the entire course of our existence.
He was when sat out to provide a path of redemption for His creation to abide in the Love He had for us before the beginning of time. He again could have done nothing and left us to stew in our sin and separation. But He was faithful and endured the cross because of that very love.
Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.
Hebrews 12:1-2 (HCSB)
He continues this faithfulness day in day out, in our lives. Each day with renewed strength and love that only the creator could possibly give. Because, He love us and His Love is faithful!
We must in return give Him our Faithfulness in the greatest measure we can.
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will:
To the faithful saints in Christ Jesus at Ephesus.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:1-2 (HCSB)
Because we are His faithful. Bought with His blood and raised to new life to serve Him in love and the freedom of His Grace.
Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23 (HCSB)
Now till in His faithfulness He returns to take us home, it is for us to be faithful to His faithfulness. It is ours to Love with His Love. To extend His Grace daily to those who haven’t experienced His Faithfulness. For He is faithful, and He is Lord!!
Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithful love; according to Your abundant compassion, blot out my rebellion.
Wash away my guilt and cleanse me from my sin. For I am conscious of my rebellion, and my sin is always before me.
Against You — You alone — I have sinned and done this evil in Your sight.
So You are right when You pass sentence; You are blameless when You judge.
Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.
Surely You desire integrity in the inner self, and You teach me wisdom deep within. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Psalms 51:1-7 (HCSB)
He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, because he was fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Romans 4:20-21 (HCSB)
My dearly loved brothers, understand this: Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man’s anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and evil, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save you.
But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
James 1:19-22 (HCSB)
Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause dissensions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them, for such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites., They deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting with smooth talk and flattering words.
Romans 16:17-18 (HCSB)
