God’s Peace! – 5/27/18

God’s Peace!…

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 (HCSB)

Note from Kip…
It all comes down to these two verses really when it comes to passing through this world successfully, on the path that God has planned for us.

If I could, I would give these two verses to every new born believer and explain to them that there will be thinks which the Word and God’s Spirit living in them will teach and instruct them, but throughout their journey, be mindful of this:

  • We are not to worry about anything. We gave it to God. Leave it with him and trust that He has it under control.
  • With everything, submit them to God and discuss with Him all that is on our hearts through prayer.
  • As we pray, never forget to be thankful. Thanksgiving is a catalyst which acknowledges God’s authority and our relationship to Him. The fact He wants to hear our supplication, is something to be thankful for regardless of our situation.
  • If we are faithful in this, His peace will flood our mind, soul, and body; literally guarding our hearts and minds; nestled in the love and grace of our glorious savior Jesus Christ.

Just that little bit to every new disciple, would set them on course to allow the Holy Spirit to guide them throughout their time on this plane of existence.

But we don’t need to be new believers to profit from these two verses as these lessons have no time limit. They are equally profound to those who have been with the Lord God for many years as well. We are constantly served but these simple truths regarding pray, Thanksgiving, and surrender of our will and worries to our gracious daddy; Abba Father; God Almighty.

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “ Abba, Father!”

Romans 8:15 (HCSB)

He want to hear our petition. He’s thrilled with us acknowledging Him and giving him the glory. He cares for us and He has the power to do anything and everything we need.

Blessings,

But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

Acts 20:24 (HCSB)

Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus,, because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Romans 8:1-2 (HCSB)

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 8:8-10 (HCSB)

We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. Like a lamb led to the slaughter and like a sheep silent before her shearers, He did not open His mouth.

Isaiah 53:6-7 (HCSB)

Thank you Lord and most magnificent Savior!!!

May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

Colossians 1:11-12 (HCSB)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-24 (HCSB)

The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom should I be afraid?

Psalms 27:1 (HCSB)

I am certain that I will see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous.

Wait for the Lord.

Psalms 27:13-14 (HCSB)
